Mexican tacos

Ingredients:

  • Tortilla Maizteca or Tortilla Taquito Maizteca – 8 small tortillas
  • Quesillo (Oaxaca cheese) – 100g, shredded
  • Herdez Salsa Taquera – for serving
  • Herdez Guacamole Salsa – for serving
  • Colombian Sausage – 360g, sliced and pan-fried
  • La Morena Sliced Jalapeño Peppers – 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Goya Adobo Sazonador – 1 tsp
  • LV Crema Mexicana – 100g
  • Cilantro – chopped, for garnish
  • Onion – chopped, for garnish
  • Lime wedges – for serving

  • Recipe:

    Prepare the Sausage:

    • Cut the Colombian sausage into small, bite-sized pieces. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil and add the sausage.
    • When the sausage is almost done, season it with Goya Adobo Sazonador (or your choice of salt, pepper, and garlic powder). Stir well to coat the sausage in the seasoning.
    • Once cooked through, remove from heat and set aside.

    Prepare the Tortillas:

    • Warm the Tortilla Maizteca on a hot pan or comal (traditional Mexican flat griddle) over medium heat.
    • Heat each tortilla for about 30–60 seconds per side until it softens and gets some light browning.

    Assemble the Tacos:

    • Take a warm tortilla and place a spoonful of the sautéed sausage in the center.
    • Top with a handful of Oaxaca cheese, letting it slightly melt over the hot sausage.
    • Add a small spoonful of chopped La Morena Sliced Jalapeño Peppers
       for a spicy kick.
    • Drizzle a generous amount of LV Crema Mexicana on top to add a rich, creamy texture.

    4. Add the Salsas:

     5. Finish & Serve:

  • Sprinkle the tacos with freshly chopped cilantro and onions for freshness and crunch.
  • Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top just before eating for that perfect burst of flavor.
